Norfolk folk singer songwriter Ervin Munir has teamed up with local vocalist Kate Swanson for “Lifeline”, a song about the people who show up exactly when you need them.
The track opens with piano, where Swanson’s vocals draw you in straight away. Ervin comes in on the chorus with guitar harmonies and leads that build up the arrangement. It’s a natural fit for both artists, and the collaboration brings something different to Ervin’s sound while staying true to the introspective writing he’s known for on releases like Broken Compass and Pure and Simple.
Ervin has put out over 20 singles since 2022, showing he can work across different moods and styles while keeping his lyrics and melodies at the center. Since settling in Sheringham in 2011, he’s become a familiar presence in North Norfolk’s music community, helping to run the “Rock the Lobster” open mic nights. His work has caught the attention of music blogs and earned him airplay on BBC Radio and stations internationally.
“Lifeline” captures that feeling of connection when you need it most, built around delicate piano, layered guitars, and two voices that complement each other perfectly.
