What was the inspiration behind Riptide?
Coming out of a relationship where you’re both hurting each other, realising that sometimes each of you is pulling the other into rough waters
How did you capture the push and pull tension of the song musically?
We wrote this high energy single with a mix of big riffs, melodic vocals lines and powerful drums
Can you talk about the dynamic between the band members on this track?
A lot of our songs are born out of jams and playing ideas out together, all taking inspiration from each other
How has your live experience in London influenced the sound of Riptide?
We all enjoy going out to see live music in London regularly, getting influenced by what we see, as well as from other bands we play with around town
Which bands or sounds do you feel helped shape your style, and how do you make it your own?
At the moment we’re listening to a lot of Wolf Alice, Royal Blood, Hayley Williams, Queens Of The Stone Age, Clutch and Die Spitz
