I have always had a soft spot for indie music and one album which has been on my thoughts recently is ‘It Looked Like Rain’ by North Ship. The two piece band from Copenhagen delight my ears with this new offering featuring 8 unique and noteworthy tracks.
I have reviewed a few of the bands earlier singles, so it was a pleasant surprise to hear they had completed an album. They do not let me down either with a mix of modern and fresh elements blending with nostalgic hooks. Moreover, the sounds on display in the album could easily be compared to some of the greatest indie albums of past eras, yet with a modern touch. The vocals are also delivered with passion and the music is thrilling from start to finish.
