While writing this review, let me first introduce you to my setting. The weather outside is beautiful with the birds tweeting and the blue sky gleaming and to match it perfectly I am listening to “Bonnie Lochan” the new release by award-winning London-based classical composer, Julia Thomsen.
Julia Thomsen is a favourite of ours here at Vocoder Magazine with a track record of charming us with her neo-classical pieces. She does not let us down on her new arrival, “Bonnie Lochan”. The best way I can sum this release up is simply beautiful. The piano arrangement leaves me feeling at ease, the stresses of the week suddenly pass and the track takes me on a journey of self-reflection.
